Since moving aboard we have dedicated a bit of our time to 'settle' in which involved building drawers in the aft cabins & galley as well as re-running wiring and plumbing, trim on the bench tops and what feels like a million other jobs. But, after moving aboard we also set up an extraction system to allow us to move onto the next area on the boat - our cabin. I have included some pics of our extraction system because so many people are curious how we can do the work we do while living aboard. It does involve a lot of masking and a noisy extraction fan but it contains all the dust and paint fumes. With half our diesel and water tanks in this section of the boat (under what is going to be our bed) we had to sort the tanks before moving on to the next stage. This involved cutting open the tanks to gain proper access, lots of grinding, re-glasssing the inside of the tanks, re-painting them and we have just glassed the tops closed again yesterday. We now really need to make some decisions on the layout of our cabin...so watch this space to see our newest design emerge :-)
